The procedure of examinations is based on the allocation to units (UE) of ECTS credits, according to the terms of the Bologna process. From this point of view, the operation of the master is indistinguishable from that of an intra-university master, even if it has its own tree-diagram.
► Continuous assessment
- Attendance
- Sheet or summary reading for seminars and courses
- Monograph site or PowerPoint presentation or instruments, processes, or technical subjects related to the project completion or projected inventory, realization of written or oral archives, or simulation ...
- Summary of courses and visits. In each host university, courses or visits will be offered to students, either in the field (archaeology) or in institutions (museum inventory ...), to provide them with a practical insight into the conditions of exercise
- Attendance and participation in the project tutored
- Recovery of credit if the jury's decision for admission
- Assessment of mobility specialty fits this framework and includes the validation of seminars and writing a final report summarizing all activities assessed jointly by the college tutor, the expert professional and appropriate Professor referent.
The notes are centralized by the university coordinator, who ensures the sending of a provisional summary of notes for each semester.
► Dissertation study
It assesses the candidate's maturity and ability to think more research-autonomous action by mobilizing the skills learned in his career. The final date for filing the statement and the defense are set in June.
The submission must be prepared in accordance with the amended rules as ratified at the meeting of CSLM in February 2009.
- The drafting of the thesis must contain between 100 and 120 pages (between 120 000 and 170 000 characters), excluding annexes. It may be written entirely either in French or in English. In all cases, in each chapter there should be a page of introduction and conclusions in the language which is not the original language. A final summary, in both languages, will be printed on the back of the thesis, as well as keywords.
- The submission must be in electronic format, minimum five copies of CD ROM, and at least three printed copies (two copies for the jury, and a copy for the library of the relevant department).
- Final result :
1) The upload of the collective project on the appropriate website.
2) The final dissertation, that makes it possible to evaluate the maturity acquired by the candidate between the beginning and the end of his or her studies, as well as his or her ability to develop ideas for independent research and action, mobilizing the skills acquired in the universities of the consortium. It must include five parts:
- an introduction justifying the consistency of the student’s work and the path he/she has taken, including during the international semester. - the presentation of sources and bibliography. - a feature article, with a theoretical and practical synthesis of the personal project. - the written part within the group project which would have been allotted to him or her. - a conclusion, with a critical analysis, based on skills acquired by the future professional candidate. - the appendix may be attached.
- Defense : The student realizes his job at a defense before a jury composed of at least four people including three HDR or Full Professor, at least two representatives of the six universities of the consortium and a professional to evaluate the proposed tutored. The defense is organized simultaneously in person and by web conferencing. The jury master validates the entire journey and decides on the allocation of endorsements. Submissions may be posted after approval by the jury, then they bear the mention of the result.
